J.F. Hesnault, one of the busiest men in the village; is the proprietor of the only drug store in town, is an active partner in the Walnut Grove Auto Co., handling the popular Reo, and also a member of the Corn Belt Land Co., handling lands in western Minnesota and eastern Dakota as well as in the immediate vicinity of home. He was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1869, living there but two years, his parents moving to St. Peter, Minn. at that time. He received his education at St. Peter. He came to Walnut Grove in 1885. Since that date he has lived in the state of Washington three years and in Utah one year, settling at last in Walnut Grove in 1893. Mr. Hesnault has served the village as member of school board, member of village council, village treasurer and recorder. He was married to Miss Flora O. Swoffer of Walnut Grove in 11898. They have four children, two boys and two girls.
