Her name may have be Barlow. Rebecca had a granddaughter named Rebecca B. and a great-granddaughter named Rebecca Barlow Porter. Two of her sons were Benjamin and Jesse and these names were common in the Barlow family of Isle of Wight County. John Porter died in 1777 at Southamton County, VA; He left a will which was destroyed by Etheldred Brantley. Brantley then married the widow Rebecca on 6 Feb 1778. The case against Etheldred and Rebecca for wasting and embezzling the estate of John Porter was dropped. The inventory of John Porter’s estate was recorded 10 Jan 1782.
