John Porter died in 1777 at Southamton County, VA; He left a will which was destroyed by Etheldred Brantley. Brantley then married the widow Rebecca on 6 Feb 1778. The case against Etheldred and Rebecca for wasting and embezzling the estate of John Porter was dropped. The inventory of John Porter’s estate was recorded 10 Jan 1782.
